Every Hawks Cay Resort vacation is made of magical moments, but Dolphin Connection may be our crowning jewel. Choose from the following programs and have your own Florida Keys dolphin adventure at Hawks Cay Resort. Photos are now included in the price of all programs below.
Dolphin Discovery

Rates: $249.99 Per Person
Program Length: 45 Minutes (15-minute educational class, 30 minutes with the dolphins)
Group Size: Varies
Time: 9:45 am, 1 pm, 2:30 pm daily (Times can and may vary)
Dolphin Discovery provides a high quality and personal experience for each guest. Following instruction in our outdoor classroom overlooking the lagoon, guests enter the water to hug, splash and play with our dolphins. For guests' comfort, dolphin interaction occurs from submerged, deep water platforms but also includes opportunities to swim into the lagoon for some special interaction with our dolphins.

Dockside Dolphins

Program Length: 30 Minutes (15 minutes with the dolphins)
Time: 9:45 am, 11:15 am, 1 pm, 3:40 pm daily (Times can and may vary)
If you don’t mind getting splashed, our friendly dolphins will meet you dockside. Enjoy all the fun with no swimming required. Following a short introduction into the world of dolphin training, Dockside Dolphins allows you to feed, play and interact with our animals from our dry training docks.
Requirements: Participants ages five and under must be accompanied by a paid adult (infants and children pay to participate). One paid adult participant per each participant four years and younger. View more information on restrictions and cancellation policy below.

Dolphin Trainer for a Day

Join the Dolphin Connection team and become an actual trainer for a day. The program is designed to give participants an up-close and personal experience which includes a private training session and the Dolphin Discovery and Royal Swim programs. Trainer for a Day includes a t-shirt and a reusable water bottle.
Requirements: Participants must be ages 10 and up, and at least 4’6”. For safety reasons, pregnant women are not permitted. Participants must be able to read, speak and understand the English language. View more information on restrictions and cancellation policy below.

Dolphin Encounter

Program Length: 45 Minutes (15-minute educational class, 30 minutes with the dolphins)
Time: 10 am, 1 pm, 2:30 pm, 4 pm daily (times can and may vary)
Experience first-hand the connection of a lifetime while our marine mammal specialists guide you through all of the fun and excitement. Following a brief educational session into the world of our dolphins, conservation and a demonstration on proper hand placements for each behavior, participants will be able to experience hugs, splahes and handshakes from a submerged platform. Dolphin Encounter is the go-to program to accommodate families, teams or groups.
Requirements: Participants must be at least 4’6” to participate on their own. Anyone under 4’6” must be accompanied by a paid adult 18 years and older. Royal Swim Program

Program Length: 45 Minutes (15-minute educational class; 30 minutes with the dolphins)
Time: 11:15 am and 2:30 pm daily.(times can and may vary)
Join the Dolphin Connection team and their Royal Swim program. The program is designed to give participants an up-close and personal experience which includes hug, handshake (deep water activity), belly ride (deep water activity), melon rub, double dorsal ride (deep water activity), swim by's and deep water mimics.
Requirements: Participants must be 54inches (4ft 6in/137 cm) or taller to participate. No exceptions. For safety reasons, pregnant women are not permitted to participate in this program. Guests with any medical restrictions, special needs or fish allergies are required to email frontofficedc@dolphindiscovery.com or call us at (305)-289-9975 to make a reservation.

Dolphin Connection requires that guests with any medical restrictions, special needs or fish allergies email frontofficedc@dolphindiscovery.com or call us at (305) 289-9975 to make a reservation. There is a ramp to access the dockside experience. Please note that there are no lifts for the in-water experience.
For the dolphin’s health and safety, all jewelry must be removed prior to the beginning of each program. For liability reasons, NO personal cameras, cell phones or any electronic items/devices are permitted on the docks or in the water at anytime, on/during/or after program. These items are approved to have at our beach and overlook areas for any observers.
Cancellation Policy
All Dolphin Connection programs cancelled are non-refundable. Dolphin interactive experiences require full payment at the time of booking. Customers will receive a full refund in case of operator cancellation due to extreme weather or other unforeseen circumstances. Programs are not canceled due to rain or cold. Contact us by phone to cancel or inquire about a cancellation at (305) 289-9975 or (305) 289-0136 between the hours of 9:30 am and 4:30 pm.
Additional Information
For your convenience, staff photographers are present at each program, and photos will be available for purchase. Participants are highly encouraged to check-in at the Dolphin Connection facility 15-20 minutes prior to their program time. We recommend coming program ready and with a towel and change of clothes, if needed. Wetsuits and life vest provided.
